Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Sluice is a VPN client: it connects your Mac to VPN gateways you configure. It is not a VPN service, and your traffic never passes through our servers.
What stays on your Mac
Profiles, gateway addresses, user names and the tunnels' settings stay on your Mac. Passwords and pre-shared keys are kept in your Keychain. Sluice does not collect, send or log your traffic, the sites you visit, or the networks you connect to.
License checks
To run the trial and check licenses, Sluice sends our license server (license.sluicevpn.app) an identifier of your Mac: a one-way hash of its hardware identifier, from which the identifier itself cannot be recovered. The server stores this hash with the dates of your trial and, after activation, with your license and the e-mail address it was bought with. It stores nothing else about you or your Mac.
Updates
Sluice checks sluicevpn.app for updates once a day. The request carries your Mac's IP address and Sluice's version, as every web request does; no system profile is sent.
Purchases
Payments are handled by the payment provider named at checkout, under its own privacy policy. We receive the e-mail address and what was bought, to issue and support your license.
Hosting
The website and the license server run on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to deliver and protect them.
Your rights and contact
To see, correct or delete what we store about your license or trial, write to support@sluicevpn.app. Data controller: Anton Zubkov, individual entrepreneur, Ukraine.
