Support

Write to support@sluicevpn.app. Tell us the Sluice and macOS versions, the gateway (FortiGate model, VyOS, …) and what Sluice shows for the profile.

Sluice asks to allow a helper

The helper creates tunnels as root. Turn on Sluice in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions › Allow in the Background. Sluice continues by itself once it is allowed.

The connection fails

Sluice shows the reason under the profile: a wrong password or pre-shared key, encryption settings the gateway does not accept, an untrusted certificate. If the gateway rejects the default IKEv2 settings, turn on custom algorithms in Phase 1 or Phase 2 and pick the ones the gateway uses; FortiGate gateways usually require PFS in Phase 2.

Names inside the company network do not resolve

Some gateways send no DNS servers or domains. Add the company's domains and DNS servers in the profile under Network. Check with dscacheutil -q host -a name host.corp.example; nslookup and dig bypass the per-domain resolvers macOS uses.

Moving the license to another Mac

On the old Mac open the Sluice window, click License… at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Deactivate This Mac, then enter the key on the new one. If the old Mac is gone, write to us.

Uninstalling

Quit Sluice (this disconnects its tunnels) and move it to the Trash. If Sluice still appears in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions, turn it off there. Profiles stay in ~/Library/Application Support/Sluice and passwords in your Keychain until you delete them.
